They are strays, the lady's next door legacy. She had fed the Mom and so did I after Myra passed away. We watched Mama cat get bigger and bigger. She had quite a litter for her first time out. 5 little black babies. Two disappeared over the litter's growing up. The three that are left are Skinny Minny, Frick and Frack. Now they can be found at any given time running around my office or our yard.
Now I have to wonder if this was not God's intention. They help to relieve stress by just watching them. there is nothing better than having a kitty crawl in your lap and demanding love. Pet me or I will keep bugging you until you do.
Does God know when you need encouragement, feeling a bit blue? Well, of course he does! So what better way to pick up your spirits and make you thankful for small blessing than have a kitten or two or three around.
I read my bible in the morning with a kitten on my lap most mornings. Purring away, giving me a cadence to my thoughts and prayers. I remember to thank God every day for the small blessings in my life. I have so many, work my way up to the big things. By the time I'm done I have way more to be thankful for than sad about.
